Harvey’s
If you are ever in Tupelo, MS and looking for a place to eat, do yourself a favor and go to Harvey’s. It is located on the main strip and the decor is very nice and the food is really good. We had eight people for lunch and everyone agreed! Deserts were fabulous and the price is right. Also, if you want to add that extra something ask for one of Brandon’s tables. He was a very nice young man and added great service and a lot of humor to our experience. This is a great stop if you are driving the Natchez Trace.
Polly’s Freeze Ice Cream Shop
Polly’s Freeze in Georgetown (or Edwardsville), IN, is on SR62 just south of I64 exit 118. Opened in 1952, Polly’s is still like a step back in time and something of a local legend. This is what an ice cream shop is supposed to be. Click here for a map and some reviews.
Don’t know what ‘Other Food’ is, but . . .
If you post something here and we think it really ought to go somewhere else, we reserve the right to relocate it. We may also expand our categories in the future and rearrange things. But we will try not to lose things, so, never fear – bring on the eats!
BJ’s Brewhouse
For those of you in Louisville, try BJ’s Brewhouse in the Oxmoor Mall. Great place and the food is really good with a great variety. I think it is even a possible new location for our club meetings. We usually show up there once a week whether we are hungry or not.
Blow Fly Inn, Gulfport, MS
The Blow Fly Inn in Gulfport, MS, is one of my family’s favorite restaurants. My uncle has been going there for over 25 years. The food is uniquely Gulf Coast and delicious. This is one spot you shouldn’t miss if you are on the Coast near Gulfport. Check their web site.
