Zoom Down The Road:
Well, here are some ideas we are tossing around to see if they will evolve into an event for the club. (Click the pic to the left for a full-screen view!) A couple of years ago, we took a very enjoyable trip along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Everyone had a great trip, so it may be time to do it again. Perhaps some of you would like to meet us along the route? How about a comment to let us know what you think? We are also looking for some outstanding state parks within a half day's drive of Louisville. If you have been to one you consider one-of-a-kind, please let us know! It is always fun to meet another club at a central location for lunch or an overnite get-together. If you are interested, we would love to hear from you!
Please let me and other Lexington area miata folks know where we can catch up with you guys for the April 24 drivr to eastern Ky. Could you post something on the webpage and tell us approximately what time you expect to be in a certain area along the route so we can join in as you get around here.

i live in Lexington and am a miata owner and enthusiast. My little toy is soooooo much fun to drive. Who are some other miata owners that you know in Lexington. i'd love to be involved in some of the drives and etc. and would like to be in contact with more local miata owners. i'd apreciate your help in this.

I'm interested in going on a Saturday od Suday drive with other Miata owners. Let me know when a trip is planned. My wife and I would like to tag along. We did the Midway, Wallace Station trip last Fall with a trip to Daniel Boone homesite—can't remember the name of the park. It was great with a walk along the river there.

Thanks for the invitation. I’ll check the site and see if I can meet up with the group sometime for a drive. I probably won’t be a regular but will try to keep up with what’s going on. It’s nice to see an active group in our state. I also read miata.net and post there sometimes under “bluegrassmz”. It’s been a gold mine of information on these great little cars. Take care.

It is always great to hear form other owners. This time of year most or our drives are spur of the moment based on the weather but keep checking the site. You are welcome to attend any of the meetings. Check the site for time and location. We just switched locations and are now at BJ’s in the Oxmoor Mall in Louisville.
Well I have a couple of thoughts.
1. I love Midway Ky. & that whole horse farm scene. Perhaps we could do a drive on the horse farm tour & eat somewhere around there, like Wallace Station or one of the places on Railroad Street. Of course the Ky Horse Park is a keeper!
2. There are several creative & beautiful ways to get to a park with a view like General Butler State Park. The view from the lookout area is of two rivers & two states. What a great place for a communal picnic! Also handy to the Cincinnati bunch.
Another advantage to either of these sites is if someone gets tired or needs to leave early the Interstates are right there to take North, South, East or West.

I live in Lexington not far from Midway. If you all come to Midway I’d try to meet you there. I just bought my first Miata (’09 MX-5) at Oxmoor Mazda about 3 weeks ago. There are some great back roads in horse farm country that I know you’d enjoy. I’ve marked this site in my favorites and will check in frequently. Hopefully there will be lots of good “top down” days before winter.
